Your New Role as Senior Accountant:
As a Senior Accountant, you will manage a diverse portfolio of clients, providing accounting, tax, and advisory services. You will take ownership of preparing and reviewing financial statements, overseeing tax compliance, and assisting with more complex accounting issues. You'll work closely with junior team members, providing mentorship and reviewing their work, while also building strong relationships with clients to help them achieve their financial goals.
Main Responsibilities:
In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and reviewing year-end accounts, tax returns, and management accounts for a range of clients. You will oversee tax planning and compliance work, ensuring all deadlines are met and that clients are provided with clear, accurate advice. You will also assist with more complex accounting tasks, providing support on audits, and advising clients on financial matters. Additionally, you'll be involved in mentoring junior staff and helping to develop the team's overall capabilities.
The Experience & Qualifications Required:
The successful candidate will be ACA/ACCA qualified with significant experience working in an accountancy practice. You should have a strong understanding of financial reporting, tax compliance, and general accounting principles. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as well as the ability to manage multiple client relationships and work to deadlines. Previous experience in reviewing the work of junior staff is also desirable.
