The Organisation

The Royal Parks (TRP) is a charity created in March 2017. We manage over 5,000 acres of diverse parkland, rare habitats and historic buildings and monuments in eight Royal Parks across London. These are Hyde Park, Kensington Gardens, The Green Park, St James's Park, The Regent's Park and Primrose Hill, Greenwich Park, Richmond Park and Bushy Park.

We also manage other important public spaces including Brompton Cemetery and Victoria Tower Gardens. Our eight Royal Parks and other iconic green spaces are among the most visited attractions in the UK with 77 million visits every year.

We are now looking for a Nursery Worker to join us on a full-time, permanent basis.

The Role

As a Nursery Worker, you will work with a team of nursery workers to deliver a seasonal array of plants from our nursery in Hyde Park.

Keeping plants at the optimal growing conditions, you will work in an allocated area of the nursery, weeding, pruning, potting on, watering and identifying pests.

You will also be involved in propagation, including sowing seeds and taking vegetative cuttings as well as making hanging baskets.

Additionally, you will:

- Provide technical and plant advice to colleagues
- Participate in the picking and despatch of stock to parks
- Support the production and maintenance of accurate stock records
- Ensure working environments and storage areas are kept in a safe, clean and tidy condition

About You

To be considered as a Nursery Worker, you will need:

- The ability to work well in a team and alone
- Good communication skills
- To be organised, hardworking and a good timekeeper
