Role Summary:
The University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a motivated and skilled Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic team at Weston General Hospital. In this role, you will provide high-quality occupational therapy assessments and interventions to a diverse patient population, supporting their rehabilitation and recovery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy assessments to determine patients' needs and functional capabilities.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aimed at enhancing patients' independence and quality of life.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver coordinated care, ensuring holistic patient management.
- Provide advice and education to patients and their families on strategies to improve daily living skills and functional performance.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and participate in clinical audits and quality improvement initiatives.
Essential Skills and Experience:
- A degree in Occupational Therapy or equivalent qualification and registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
- Experience in a clinical occupational therapy setting, with knowledge of evidence-based practice and rehabilitation techniques.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective patient interaction and teamwork.
- Ability to work autonomously while managing a caseload and prioritizing tasks effectively.
