Sheet Metal Worker

Salary: 13.50 per hour
We are currently seeking a Sheet Metal Worker to join our clients team based in Lakenheath. As a Sheet Metal Worker, you will play a crucial role in the fabrication and assembly of sheet metal components using various tools and machinery. The successful candidate will have experience in operating a brake press machine, guillotine, and other related equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain machinery such as brake press, guillotine, and cutting tools to fabricate and shape sheet metal according to specifications.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and other documentation to determine the required dimensions, materials, and fabrication methods.
- Cut, trim, and shape sheet metal using manual and power tools, ensuring precise measurements and smooth finishes.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, ensuring the proper storage and handling of materials and tools.
- Adhere to safety regulations and best practices to maintain a secure work environment.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Sheet Metal Worker or similar role, ideally with Aluminium
- Proficiency in operating a brake press machine, guillotine, and other sheet metal fabrication equipment.
- Solid understanding of sheet metal fabrication techniques, including cutting, bending, shaping, and assembling.
- Strong attention to detail and precision in measurements and fabrication.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Basic knowledge of health and safety procedures in a workshop setting.
