SF Recruitment is currently partnering with a prominent manufacturing company based in Stroud to recruit an Assistant Accountant. This role will directly support the Financial Controller in the day-to-day management of the Finance department. We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented individual who is eager to contribute to the financial health of a dynamic manufacturing operation.

Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the preparation of Management Accounts and support the year-end audit process.
Oversee weekly production reporting, ensuring accuracy in sales and production cost tracking.
Manage prepayments, accruals, and the posting of relevant journals.
Perform reconciliations of Balance Sheet control accounts.
Conduct daily/weekly bank reconciliations for multiple currency accounts (GBP, Euro, and USD).
Ensure the accurate maintenance of sales and purchase ledgers, promptly addressing any outstanding issues or queries.
Manage supplier debit and credit notes efficiently.
Maintain and update Fixed Asset Registers, ensuring all assets are correctly recorded and depreciated.
Assist with Physical Stock Takes, coordinating with production and inventory teams to ensure accurate reporting.
Support payroll processing and ensure timely and accurate payments to employees.
Perform ad hoc analysis and review financial information to provide insights into cost control and efficiency improvements within manufacturing operations.
Assist with special projects and system implementations as required by the Head of Finance.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Relevant experience in a similar role
Strong Excel skills.
Excellent communication skills.
Actively studying towards a relevant financial qualification.
