Job Opportunity: English Teacher for Alternative Provision in Bromley

Location: Bromley, London

Salary: £190-£220pd

Empowering Learning is seeking two experienced English Teachers to join our team at an alternative provision in Bromley. As a crucial member of our dedicated staff, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality education and support to young people with a range of learning needs. Key Responsibilities:

- Delivering engaging English lessons to students with Special Educational Needs and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs.
- Implementing the National Curriculum framework to support students' learning and development.
- Tailoring teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs and goals of each student.
- Building strong relationships with students to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
- Collaborating with colleagues and support staff to provide holistic support to students.
- Preparing students for examinations and assessments, ensuring they have the skills and confidence to succeed.

Requirements:

- Qualified Teaching Status (QTS).
- Experience teaching in SEN/SEMH settings.
- Familiarity with the National Curriculum framework.
- Proven ability to work with young people with a range of learning needs and destination aims.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Practical approach to engaging pupils and adapting teaching methods as needed.
- Experience working with children and young people with special educational needs and learning disabilities.

Desirable:

- Training in a specialist SEN area.
