My client are seeking a proactive and adaptable Policy Officer to join their dynamic team. In this role, you will support the Head of Policy in enhancing our policy activities, leveraging the expertise of our diverse members to influence decision-makers.
Key responsibilities include collaborating with Technical Community Leadership Teams to develop policy contributions, communicating our initiatives through various channels, and maintaining an understanding of current policy issues in materials, minerals, and mining. You will identify emerging themes, assist in creating Policy Papers, prepare briefings, and represent the business at external events.
The ideal candidate will have a background in scientific, engineering, environmental, or public policy, with a keen interest in the UK policy landscape, particularly in areas like net-zero and critical materials. You should possess excellent written communication skills, the ability to synthesize complex information, and strong relationship-building capabilities.
