The main objective of the role is to play a crucial role in supporting the efficient and smooth operations of the production department. This role involves a combination of administrative, coordination, and communication tasks to ensure that production processes are executed effectively. The Production Administrator works closely with various teams within the production department as well as cross-functional teams to facilitate the production workflow.
The main duties are:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date works orders and production schedules.
- Prepare and manage production-related documentation such as production reports and route cards.
- Assist in data entry and maintenance of production databases and systems. Coordination:
- Collaborate with production planner, and team leaders to ensure production plans are communicated effectively and executed on time.
- Coordinate with procurement to ensure timely availability of raw materials and components needed for production.
- Act as a liaison between different departments such as production, quality control, CAD and logistics to facilitate information flow and resolve any issues that may arise during production.
- Respond to inquiries from internal teams regarding production status, delivery timelines, and product availability.
- Assist in troubleshooting minor technical problems that may occur during production processes and escalate complex issues to the production planner.
The ideal candidate will have the following skills:
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in using office software, such as Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Familiarity with production processes and manufacturing terminology is advantageous.
