Setting up function data function for a well established organisation
As the Head of Data, you will be instrumental in initiating and driving the data journey. This role is both hands-on and strategic, as you'll not only support the development team in designing data systems but also lead the entire business towards a data-driven future. Your vision and expertise will help unlock the full potential of the data, pushing the boundaries of what we can achieve.
You'll lead a small but growing team through an exciting transformation, helping the organization to understand and leverage the data we process. By delivering key insights and identifying opportunities, you'll inform future decisions and guide the business in harnessing data to its fullest extent.
The right candidate...
- You are an experienced leader eager to build and shape the data capabilities of an organization from the ground up, although open to your first Head of Data position.
- With a wealth of experience in data modeling and database design, data integration and ETL processes, analytics and reporting, as well as governance and compliance, you bring extensive knowledge to the role.
- Proficient with SQL Server (including T-SQL and NoSQL databases), you have hands-on experience with cloud services-as we are on a cloud journey-particularly AWS (Redshift, S3, Glue) or Azure data warehousing.
- You're skilled in data visualization tools like Power BI and are proficient in programming languages such as Python or R for data analysis. Familiarity with C# and the .NET framework is a plus.
- Passionate about guiding businesses in understanding their data assets, you excel at driving strategic initiatives based on data insights. You are adept at communicating complex data concepts to non-technical stakeholders, fostering a culture that values data-driven decision-making throughout the organization.
