Are you a dedicated and enthusiastic individual with experience working with Special Educational Needs (SEN) students? We are seeking a confident and compassionate Full-Time Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant primary school in Camden starting this September. This contract role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one and group support to SEN students, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored educational activities to meet the needs of SEN students.
- Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
- Help students with their academic, social, and emotional development.
- Monitor and report on student progress to teachers and SEN coordinators.
- Adapt learning materials to meet the needs of SEN students.
- Assist with personal care needs when necessary.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support the holistic development of students.
Requirements:
- Experience working with SEN students in a primary school setting.
- Confidence in managing and supporting students with diverse needs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a nurturing approach.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo one).
