Job Title: Intermediate Quantity Surveyor

Location: Leeds (Hybrid Working Available)

Salary: £35,000 - £50,000

Position Overview:

We are seeking an Intermediate Quantity Surveyor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be client-facing, detail-oriented, and have a strong work ethic. This role requires experience at a project level and proficiency in both pre-contract and post-contract stages.

Responsibilities:

Pre-Contract:

Estimating project costs and preparing detailed cost plans.

Recommending suitable procurement routes for projects.

Managing the tendering process, including identifying value engineering opportunities.

Identifying and managing project risks.

Preparing bills of quantities and performing accurate measurements using software like Bluebeam.

Cost planning and contract preparation, particularly within the JCT suite.

Post-Contract:

Conducting cost reporting and preparing interim valuations.

Managing variations and negotiating final accounts.

Resolving any contractual issues that arise during the project lifecycle.

Ensuring all financial aspects of the project are accurately managed and reported.

Requirements:

ICS qualification or a strong desire to achieve chartered status in the near future.

Proven experience in a client-facing role within the retail sector.

Strong work ethic and attention to detail.

Excellent communication skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Outlook, Word, etc.).

Experience with Bluebeam or similar measurement software.
