is urgently required by a highly successful University of Oxford spin-out who has developed disruptive engineering technology. This company has already raised significant funding which has resulted in rapid growth, product optimisation, with a new site opened locally. Due to this growth and customer demand for their innovative product, they now seek a talented
Logistics & Customs Specialist
to be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end logistics operations and ensuring compliance with customs regulations for the import and export of valves and related components.
This
Logistics & Customs Specialist
role will play a crucial part in optimising shipping processes, reducing lead times, managing relationships with freight forwarders, and ensuring that all imports and exports comply with international trade laws and regulations.
About you:
The
Logistics & Customs Specialist
will need to possess the following experience or skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, International Trade, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in logistics, customs compliance, or supply chain management, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment (valve or mechanical component industry is a plus).
- Strong knowledge of international logistics, customs regulations, and trade compliance, especially in the regions relevant to the company's operations.
- Proficiency in logistics and supply chain management software, such as ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.), and familiarity with customs software and databases.
- Certifications such as Certified Customs Specialist (CCS) or Certified International Trade Professional (CITP) are a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving, negotiation, and communication skills. Attention to detail, organisation, and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Our client offers a competitive salary of up to £45,000pa plus benefits, which includes a company contributory pension, death in service insurance, 25 days annual holiday plus public holidays.
