Job Title: Chartered Financial Planner

Salary: £60,000 - £70,000 (Negotiable) + Bonus

Location: Southampton / Portsmouth

A well-respected Chartered Financial Planning firm with a very good reputation are looking for an experienced Financial Planner to come and join their growing advisory team and work with nourishing and developing existing clients within the firm.

They take pride in their work and place an emphasis on client care and providing a tailored solution. They have a broad offering for clients, providing advice across a range of cases including Pensions, Investments, Protection and tax planning.

They have long standing relationships with a great deal of their clients and have an excellent client-retention rate to go with this.

They have grown consistently over the last few years and are a forward-thinking firm that embrace technology and pride themselves on the technical knowledge that their team provides, along with the high-levels of customer service.

The Role:

This role would suit someone who is technically minded and who has a natural ability to develop relationships with clients to provide a holistic, tailored advice service across a broad range of case types. The role is split between providing finanical planning advice half of the time and some other senior management duties as well.

There are existing clients available for the incoming advisor to inherit and work on developing. But there is also an emphasis on someone who can work with some of the existing planners to provide some training/devlopment, be involved in the investment committee and work towards being involved with the strategic decisions in the business.

There is an experienced admin and paraplanning team for the incoming advisor along with a smooth compliance process from a firm that embrace the use of technology to make the advice process easier.

Given the client base on offer, this is a fantastic opportunity for a good advisor to maximise their skills in a supportive firm.

The Required Skills:

  • Level 4 Diploma Qualified as a minimum and ideally a desire to work towards Chartered Status.
  • Valid SPS and signed off with Competent Adviser Status (CAS)
  • Personable professional who is comfortable dealing with clients both written and verbally.
  • Strong level of technical knowledge around pensions, investments and experience of utilising cash-flow modelling reports.
