Social Worker I Child in Need - Child Protection I Middlesbrough Council

Reed is currently looking to recruit an experienced Children's Social Worker to join Middlesbrough Councils Child in Need/Child Protection Team.

Fantastic payrate of £38 per hour!

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify risks and protective factors.
  • Develop and implement care plans in collaboration with children, families and relevant stakeholders.
  • Provide timely and effective intervention and support services to children and families in crises.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including health care professionals, law enforcement and educational institutions.
  • Monitor and review the progress of children and families involved in the child protection system.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in accordance with organisational policies and statutory requirements.
  • Attend court hearings and provide evidence as required.

Requirements of this role:

  • Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England.
  • Previous experience working in child protection services.
  • Strong understanding of child development, safeguarding procedures and relevant legislation.
  • Excellent assessment, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage complex cases.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and best practice standards.
