Internal Controls Accountant - Based outskirts of Hertfordshire - min 3 - 6 months interim role
(Outside IR35 - up to £650 per day)
- Qualified Accountant (ACA)
- Experienced in identifying and mitigating risks
- Implement internal controls across finance and preventative measures
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the effectiveness of internal controls over financial reporting. You will implement sound financial reporting, compliance, and internal controls, ensuring accuracy and adherence to regulations. This role requires strong accounting expertise, internal controls experience and provide recommendations for improvements.
A key focus to this role will be to focus on controls over stock, which will require reconciliation of stock movement, experience within the manufacturing and/or export sector would be desirable.
Essential:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in internal controls, auditing, or SOX
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 including strong knowledge of Excel
- Strong technical understanding of accounting principles and processes
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
