Job Title: SCADA Commissioning Engineer

Location: Reading, Berkshire

Contract Length: 6 months

Our client is a leading engineering and maintenance provider dedicated to enhancing the efficiency and reliability of assets across diverse industries, including chemical and petrochemical, nuclear, oil and gas, pharmaceuticals and biopharma, power and energy, utilities, renewables, and food and beverage markets.

Position Overview:

Belcan is seeking a skilled SCADA Engineer (commissioning) to deliver project modules which could include elements of documentation, PLC code, top end SCADA configuration, testing works, Hardware Design, installation, configuration, post checks and QA. This role requires you to be hands-on with programming and configuring SCADA systems. You will also represent at project meetings and on client sites. This involves liaising with clients and other vendors to ensure seamless communication and project execution.

Experience & Qualifications:

To succeed as a SCADA Engineer here, you should have proven experience in a similar position, particularly with SCADA systems. Expertise in ClearSCADA 'Top End' Commissioning is required. You should possess strong skills in quality assurance, system health checking, and system alarm analysis and testing. Familiarity with SCADA systems such as Schneider ClearSCADA, Wonderware, and Rockwell FactoryTalk View will be essential for this role.
