Power BI Developer

Posted by Cathcart Technology.

As an IT-focused business on the outskirts of Leeds is looking for an experienced Power BI Developer for their team. The company operate B2B and have made very significant growth over the last few years.

Their Business Intelligence function is still fairly new, but they've already seen great value since its introduction into the business, so are looking to invest even more into it over the coming years. Within their industry, there's a big change coming where there will be a lot of data made accessible which they will be looking to utilise as much as possible.

You'll be coming in as the 3rd member of the Business Intelligence team which is currently made up of a couple of experience BI Developers. With this, they are looking to bring in someone that also has prior experience working as Business Intelligence Developer. They're working extensively with Power BI, so proven experience of working with Power BI is essential, as they will expect you to come in and hit the ground running. As their BI function is newer, they've been able to use the most up-to-date tech and platforms available, so are working with Microsoft Fabric - experience of this isn't essential but would definitely be handy. Your main responsibilities will be to analyse data, churn out reports and manage the Power BI environment.

They're also just looking for someone that is super passionate about data and are keen to see this through the interview process. On top of this, strong experience with SQL is essential and any exposure to other tools such as Power Query and DAX would be very beneficial.

As a company, they have a very outgoing culture and are looking for someone that will get involved with this. They really want someone that wants to put their ideas out there, so people skills are essential for this role as well.

The company are based on the outskirts of Leeds and are looking for someone to be in the office 50% of the time. In terms of salary, they have a budget in mind of up to £50,000 but are happy to pay market value and can stretch the budget for excellent candidates. On top of this, they've paid out a bonus the last couple of years - this was a discretionary bonus, so is by no means guaranteed but if the company continues on the same path as they are on just now, there's nothing to say that they won't continue to pay out this bonus.

If you're an experienced BI Developer that has experience working with Power BI, then please apply and/or call Jack Steven at Cathcart Technology.
