Position: Welfare Officer

Tempest Resourcing is delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a well-respected school in Hounslow. We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated School Welfare Officer to join their team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting the well-being and development of students, ensuring they have a safe and nurturing environment to thrive in.

  • Provide one-on-one support and counseling to students with emotional, social, or behavioral issues.- Develop and implement welfare plans tailored to individual student needs.- Ensure the school complies with all safeguarding regulations and policies.- Report and manage any safeguarding concerns in line with school procedures.- Promote and coordinate health and well-being initiatives within the school.- Organize workshops and sessions on topics such as mental health, bullying, and resilience.- Work closely with parents and guardians to address student welfare concerns.- Provide guidance and support to families to help them support their children's well-being.- Collaborate with teachers and other staff to identify and support students in need.- Participate in multi-disciplinary meetings and contribute to action plans.- Provide immediate support and intervention in crisis situations.- Relevant qualifications in social work, counselling, psychology, or a related field.
  • Previous experience in a similar role within an educational setting.- Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.- Ability to work collaboratively with staff, students, and parents.- Empathy, patience, and a genuine commitment to student well-being.
