An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Stocktaker to join our team based in the Cheadle, Stockport or Wythenshawe areas. As part of a team, you will undertake regular store stocktakes in line with an agreed stocktake plan.
The Role
- Provide an effective and efficient service to the Topps Tiles business, including consideration of stock damage and loss.
- Undertake regular store stocktakes, both pre-planned and unannounced.
- Undertake periodic store spot- checks of deliveries to assess the accuracy and quality of deliveries.
- Conduct audits of shortages or miss-picks.
- Effectively drive stock loss reduction initiatives throughout the business.
- Support the retail business in safeguarding against stock loss and delivery of best practice.
- The role requires flexibility around hours worked (e.g. early mornings).
- The role requires flexibility for overnight stays on a regular basis.
The Person
- Conscientious person to provide an outstanding service to stores and other areas of the business as required.
- A team player with the ability to work under pressure to meet targets and deadlines.
- The successful candidate must be able to develop relationships with Store Managers and other colleagues to effectively deliver accurate stocktakes across the business.
- Flexibility for early start, late finishes and the ability to stay away from home when required.
- Live near Stockport, Cheadle or Wythenshawe and/or ability to meet the team in these areas early in the morning.
- Previous experience in a support role would be advantageous, but full training will be given.
- A driving licence would be advantageous but not a necessity.
