Drama and Dance Teacher

Reed Education North Wales are working with a Secondary school in Denbighshire. We are keen to hear from Drama/Dance Teachers who can teach Drama and Dance to key stage 3 and 4. This role is full time and is to start September 2024 and is to cover a maternity leave. The successful candidate will have a passion for Drama/Dance and be committed to providing a high-quality learning experience for students.

Responsibilities:

Teach Drama/Dance to students of all ages and abilities, from beginners to advanced level
Plan and deliver engaging lessons that inspire and motivate students
Develop and implement a Drama/Dance curriculum that meets the needs of students and the school
Assess and evaluate student progress, providing constructive feedback to students and parents
Keep up-to-date with the latest developments in Drama/Dance education, incorporating new techniques and technologies into teaching practice where appropriate
Foster a safe and supportive learning environment that encourages creativity, collaboration, and self-expression

Requirements:

Qualified teacher status (QTS) or equivalent
Relevant degree or diploma in Drama/Dance education or related field
Proven experience teaching Drama/Dance to students of all ages and abilities
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Strong organisational and time-management skills
Commitment to ongoing professional development
