The Burford Recruitment Company is working with a private household in Barford St Michael that is seeking a dedicated and experienced full-time housekeeper to manage and maintain their properties.
Your time will be spent between the principal's two properties, 3 days at the farmhouse in Barford St Michael and 2 days at the townhouse in Oxford.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform daily cleaning tasks, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and polishing. Ensure all rooms, including bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen, and living areas, are maintained to the highest standard
- Manage the household laundry, including washing, ironing, folding, and wardrobe organisation
- Maintain an organised and clutter-free home. Manage storage areas and ensure household items are properly stored and accessible
- Run household errands, such as dry-cleaning, post-office visits, and other tasks as required
- Identify and report any maintenance issues within the property. Liaise with service providers and contractors for repairs and maintenance as needed
- There are sheep and chickens at the farmhouse which the Housekeeper will be required to check on twice daily, any action required will be taken by the farmer
Requirements:
- The ideal candidate with be a calm and positive person with a happy demeanour!
- Have proven experience as a housekeeper in a private household
- Excellent cleaning and organisational skills. Ability to perform detailed and thorough cleaning tasks
- Ability to adapt to the household's needs and schedule
- Communication skills with the ability to follow instructions and interact professionally with household members and guests
- A valid UK driving license is essential as you will be required to travel between two locations
