Reed have partnered with an exciting client based in Yatton, North Somerset. Recruiting for a Production Planning Supervisor, on a full time permanent basis.
The role involves overseeing key aspects of production planning, ensuring on-time delivery, and evaluating production efficiency. It requires a comprehensive view of company-wide planning, innovative approaches to improve service levels and efficiency, and the ability to analyse data to identify trends and drive improvements. Additionally, the role includes supervising the Planning and Administration team.
Job Purpose:
Overseeing key aspects of Production Planning within the business
Considering a wider view throughout the company that encompasses all areas of planning, and additional areas that have an impact on planning
Supporting the planning and progressing orders to ensure on-time delivery
Evaluating our production efficiency
Using innovative and considered approaches to improve both the service level to customers and the efficiency of production
Obtaining, analysing and handling data in order to achieve planning objectives and improve service
Using additional data to identify trends and patterns in all areas, for example complaints, then resulting in improvements across the company
Supervising the Planning and Administration team (Team of 5)
Requirements:
- Analytical mindset
- Expert at handling data – and interpreting that data
- Using that data and what it tells you to:
o Identify problems that prevent the business achieving is required aims and/or production levels
o Suggest solutions to remove those barriers
o Suggest and implement positive changes, improvements that benefit the business moving forward
- Fostering these approaches within existing team and developing this way of thinking
- Planning mindset essential – manufacturing experience beneficial
o Supervisory experience (Team of 5: 2 x Planners and 3 x Data Entry/Administrators)
Working Hours:
08:30am – 17:00 Monday, Tuesday, Thursday
08:00am – 17:00 Wednesday
08:30am – 16:00 Friday
Total Hours 37.5
