EL/PL Assistant Lawyer

My client, a prestigious law firm, is seeking an Assistant Lawyer to join their Liverpool office, offering excellent flexibility with one day in the office and four days working from home. You will work closely with a highly experienced Partner, handling a mix of complex EL/PL, RTA large loss, and catastrophic loss cases, many exceeding £1 million.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting in managing a caseload of high-value multi-track and catastrophic injury claims, including brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, amputations, and fatal claims.
- Liaising with insurer clients, answering queries, and providing regular updates.
- Analyzing quantum evidence, drafting technical advice on liability, quantum, and causation, and preparing legal pleadings.
- Attending court, settlement conferences, and mediations, both in-person and remotely.
- Supporting the development of a Paralegal on the team, contributing to their technical growth.
Skills & Experience:
- Qualified solicitor, CILEX, or equivalent legal experience with expertise in indemnity, liability, and quantum.
- Background in large loss or catastrophic claims is essential (claimant experience considered).
- Strong knowledge of litigation practice, court procedures, and case law.
