Programmes Engagement Manager
Central London (With hybrid working - a minimum of one day per week in the office)

About Us

The Education Endowment Foundation (EEF) is an independent charity dedicated to breaking the link between family income and educational achievement.

We do this by summarising the best available evidence in plain language for busy, time-poor teachers and senior leaders, generating new evidence of 'what works' and 'what doesn't work' to improve teaching and learning, and supporting teachers and senior leaders across the country to use this evidence to achieve the maximum possible benefit for children and young people.

We are now looking for a Programmes Engagement Manager to join us on a full-time, permanent basis, working 37 hours per week.

The Benefits

- Salary of £45,000 plus benefits (DOE)
- Flexible working opportunities: flexible start and end working times (core hours between 10am and 4pm)
- 27 days' holiday a year (plus 8 bank holidays including 3 which can be taken flexibly)
- 2 festive season closure days
- 6% employer pension contributions, minimum 3% employee contribution
- Life insurance cover
- Interest-free season ticket loan and cycle scheme
- Enhanced maternity, paternity, adoption and shared parental leave pay (conditions apply)
- Confidential Employee Assistance Programme to help you deal with any personal and professional problems

This is an exceptional opportunity for a highly organised individual with experience in project management and a strong understanding of the education sector to join our dedicated organisation.

In this key role, your work will directly contribute to narrowing the socioeconomic attainment gap, ensuring better and brighter futures for children and young people from disadvantaged backgrounds.

What's more, we are committed to supporting your growth and ensuring you have the resources and support needed to excel in your role, so you'll enjoy an array of fantastic benefits to enhance your personal and professional development and wellbeing.

So, if you want to apply your expertise to transform educational outcomes and make a positive difference, read on and apply today!

The Role

As a Programmes Engagement Manager, you will oversee our approach to recruiting schools, nurseries and colleges to partake in EEF-funded programmes and trials.

Working with the Early Years Lead and Post-16 Lead roles, you'll develop strategies for engaging nurseries and colleges in EEF research and support the scaling of our other programmes that have shown a positive impact on attainment.

You'll monitor and optimise our recruitment strategies, ensuring co-ordination between grantee and overarching recruitment activity and reviewing the effectiveness of our approaches.

Additionally, you will:

- Work closely with the communications team to ensure the production of accurate, high quality and effective recruitment materials
- Line manage the Programmes Engagement Officer

About You

To be considered as a Programmes Engagement Manager, you will need:

- A strong track record of project management and delivery
- Experience of working with schools (and ideally colleges/nurseries) in the education sector, and an understanding of the challenges they face
- Experience representing an organisation in an outward-facing role, particularly to schools (and ideally colleges/nurseries)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Great relationship building skills

Other organisations may call this role Education Programmes Manager, School Engagement Manager, Research Programmes Manager, or Educational Partnerships Manager.
