Role Overview:

As a pivotal member of our client's Dublin based senior sales management team, the Sales Director will drive leadership, guidance, and strategic direction across Ireland.

Your primary objective is to steer the company towards achieving growth targets, expanding market presence, maximising customer engagement, and enhancing wallet share from existing end-user customers.

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop Go-to-Market Strategies: Craft comprehensive strategies leveraging our entire portfolio to penetrate new markets, enhance customer loyalty, and strengthen competitive positioning.
  2. Manage Field Sales Operations: Actively oversee field sales leaders and their teams, ensuring alignment with business targets, and taking timely actions to meet performance standards.
  3. Strategic Planning and Alignment: Lead 1:1 meetings with field sales leadership and other key stakeholders to implement strategic plans, monitor progress, and ensure alignment with regional business goals.
  4. Sales Forecasting and Review: Direct sales forecasting activities and regular sales reviews to optimise performance and achieve revenue goals.
  5. Team Development and Management: Attract, hire, and develop high-impact sales personnel, ensuring they exceed sales quotas and contribute to regional objectives.
  6. Channel Development and Collaboration: Coordinate indirect sales activities and collaborate with internal teams to enhance profitability and streamline sales processes.
  7. Expense Management and Reporting: Manage sales expense budgets and utilise reports to monitor sales performance.

Qualifications and experience:

  • A proven track record of success in leading direct sales teams in the technology industry.
  • Proven track record in sales management and leadership roles.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and strategic planning skills.
  • Strong analytical abilities with proficiency in sales forecasting and budget management.
  • Strong negotiator with experience in board-level reporting structures.
