Assistant Management Accountant - Draycott - £35K - Flexible Working

SF are currently working exclusively with a well established business based in Draycott who are looking for an Assistant Management Accountant on a permanent basis. This is a great company to work for and offer flexible working and has a lot of opportunities.

Salary up to £35,000
Potential for Study Support
Hours - 8am to 5pm Mon to Thurs, 8am - 12pm Fridays
Full office based but might allow Fridays working from home

Job Duties:

Assisting the Management Accountant with the below duties:

Cash Flow Management:
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive 13-week rolling cash-flow forecast.
- Implement strategies to optimize cash flow efficiency.
Would ideally like to have experience in Cashflow Forecasting but can be trained if not.

Statutory Reporting:
- Assist in the preparation of statutory accounts in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Doesn't need to have experience in Statutory Accounts, Management Accounting experience is fine.

Balance Sheet Reconciliation:
- Reconcile and maintain the balance sheet to guarantee accuracy and completeness.

Tax Oversight:
- Oversee tax-related matters, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
- Collaborate with external tax advisors when necessary.
Will also train if candidate doesn't have experience.

Audit Support:
- Assist in the coordination of external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.

Fixed Asset Management:
- Maintain and update the fixed asset register, ensuring accurate recording of assets.

Journal Entries:
- Post accruals, prepayments, and payroll journals accurately and in a timely manner.

Bank Reconciliation:
- Perform regular bank reconciliations to reconcile accounts.

VAT Returns:
- Manage and submit VAT returns in compliance with regulations.

Accounts Receivable/Payable:
- Post incoming cash to the accounts receivable ledger.
- Facilitate timely and accurate payments to suppliers.

Ad-Hoc Projects:
- Undertake any other projects and ad-hoc tasks as required by the Finance Director - UK.

The ideal candidate will have the followng:

- This role is open to candidates with AAT/ACCA/CIMA or Qualified by experience
- Technically minded and previous experience in a similar role (Assistant Management/Financial Accountant)
- Results and on time delivery focused
- Team Player
