Fabrication Engineer - Electronic Devices

Newton Colmore is working with a manufacturer of advanced materials in Cambridge, and we are helping them search for a junior engineer/physicist.

In this fabrication role, you will be working on the development of state-of-the-art optical devices that use organic electronics. You will be conducting experiments and fabricating devices as part of a multidisciplinary team of scientists and engineers.

Some other key parts to the role will include;

  • In collaboration with the team, you will devise, implement and evaluate novel experimental methodologies and equipment to assess material and device properties.
  • Plan and perform novel experimentation in collaboration with the team, or independently if the method is established.
  • Support with the analysis of results and pro-actively contribute to ensure strong analysis and interpretation of experimental data.

This research role is perfect for either a recent physics/materials science graduate or for an engineer/scientist who has a few years' worth of experience on device fabrication. This will initially be on a two-year fixed term contract.

To be considered for this role we are looking for a recent grad or junior scientist with a background in either physics, materials science or chemistry, with some form of experience in a lab environment, ideally with the fabrication of electronic devices.
