Job Type: Full-time (potential for hybrid working later)
Location: Warrington, Time Square. Potential for hybrid working after initial few weeks
Hourly rate: £22.04 per hour PAYE. Please let me know if you have a differing hourly rate expectation.
Length of role: Initial 3 months.
Warrington Borough Council is seeking a dynamic and proactive individual to manage the procurement and contract arrangements for external SEND services, ensuring value for money and improved outcomes for children and young people with SEND. This role has 4 direct reports within the team.
Day to Day of the role:
- Manage the implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of commissioned services for children and young people with SEND.
- Work closely with key stakeholders including families, young people, schools, and professionals.
- Ensure commissioned services deliver value for money and improved outcomes.
- Oversee commissioned placements with independent education providers.
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with external education providers.
- Evaluate options and find effective solutions to challenges.
- Write and present reports to a range of audiences.
- Work under pressure and achieve deadlines.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience in inter-agency working.
- Experience in procurement and commissioning of external services.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Proven track record of developing specifications and managing contracts.
- Budget management skills and a focus on ensuring value for money.
Ability to evaluate options and find effective solutions.
