The successful candidate will be responsible for working with pupils who have a range of complex needs, including autism, providing them with the necessary support and guidance to succeed in their education.
The role is based in Barnet and the daily rate for this position is £80-£90. The successful candidate will be required to work on a full-time basis, Monday to Friday, and may be required to work across both primary and secondary school settings.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience of working with pupils with ASD and complex needs in primary and secondary school setting
- A relevant teaching assistant qualification
- A good understanding of the needs of pupils with autism and complex needs
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to work well as part of a team
- A positive and proactive approach to their work
- Understanding of and experience in using different communication systems, such as PECS, Makaton, and communication devices.
