Production Supervisor / Manager

Posted by M TWO Search Ltd..

Nobody likes to be a one-trick pony. We are looking for someone who is a print all-rounder but wants to lead a team. Don't get me wrong, your main role will be leading the production floor but you'll be a dab hand at operating the Large Format print machines but whilst they're in full flow, get yourself amongst the print finishing or warehouse too.

This business is going places. A family-run business (which they still are) but they've grown organically and looking to increase headcount in production!

They are new to Graphics and Large Format. I say new, they used to outsource the production but the next logical step was to bring that in-house. They've done that now and now need someone to come in and run the production house. Prior to not having in-house production, these lovely lot are from the world of Exhibitions and Stand builds. So it's a nice to have if you're from that world too.

We're looking for an experienced printer, ideally you have supervisory skills and experience but a printer at the very least. You might have operated on roll-to-roll printers historically or certainly aligned in perhaps latex printing, dye-sub printing or Flat bed printing. The recent investment into the production facility has seen a number of AGFA's being purchased. So if you've operated AGFA's it'll be like a duck to water.

You'll also be responsible for print finishing so if you know your way around a Zund, Summa or Kongsberg too, then that will be hugely beneficial! If your bag is printing and you're open to a new opportunity, it's perhaps worth an exploratory conversation.

Whilst your main task will be leading the department, your experience of loading the substrates, setting the printers and ensuring that the print quality is exceptional, would fit well with the culture of the business too.

You'll love this type of mentality because they pull together as a team. Collaboration and team work pivotal in this business. Maybe its from the 15 years of running the business in the events and exhibition world.

Talking of culture, because everyone does pull together, they're like a family. Cliché I know but if you want to work where you've got support, development and more importantly know you've got your back covered then this is the place. Perhaps this comes from the business being a family-owned business. You're never just a number here.

You'll be taking a great opportunity here, joining an established team that is growing, and striving for more and a better future. They will look after you, they've not had anybody leave the business to join a competitor ever, which is a pretty significant indication that they run a great ship and team.

You're in the print game, you know how to work the production floor and are open to a new opportunity, then this is for you. Happy to have a chat without a CV if you're not at that stage yet or equally, get your CV across and we can set up a call.
