The Role:

As a Senior Transport Planner, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of urban mobility. This role requires an expert in transport planning to lead the development and management of policies, initiatives, and projects aligned with our strategic objectives. You will work closely with key stakeholders and partners, ensuring that our transport projects meet the highest standards of sustainability and inclusivity.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing expert transport planning advice and managing complex work programs.
  • Developing and implementing transport policies, preparing funding bids, and managing grant-funded programs.
  • Collaborating with teams to deliver innovative projects that enhance the public realm and transport network.
  • Managing budgets, resources, and risks to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant legal, regulatory, and policy requirements.

About You:

You are passionate about transport and urban planning, with a strong background in delivering successful projects. You thrive in dynamic environments, and your problem-solving skills are matched by your ability to communicate complex ideas clearly. You are proficient in tools like QGIS, AutoCAD, and project management software, and you have a knack for building relationships that foster collaboration and trust.

Key Qualifications and Experience:

  • Degree in Transport Planning, Urban Design, Civil Engineering, Project Management, or a related discipline, with at least one year of professional experience.
  • Proven track record of managing large-scale transport and public realm projects.
  • Experience in budget management, risk management, and delivering projects within a public or private sector context.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
  • Proficiency in software tools such as QGIS, AutoCAD, and MS Project.
