Student Coordinator

Merrifield Consultants are delighted to be partnering with a Prestigious Membership Organisation based in Central London to recruit a dedicated and dynamic Students Coordinator.

The Students Coordinator will coordinate events and activities for student members and provide essential administrative support within the Membership & Education Department.

Job Title: Students Coordinator

Salary: £33000 per annum

Contract Type: Permanent

Location: Central London, Hybrid (at least 3 days a week in the office and more depending on business needs)

Working Hours: 35-hour working week, including evenings and weekends as required, with Time Off in Lieu (TOIL) awarded for extra hours

Responsibilities:

Assist in the coordination and delivery of student education and training programmes.

Arrange logistics for residential and non-residential training events, including producing materials and attending events.

Manage recruitment and selection of Student Representatives, Student Club Secretaries, and committee members, acting as their primary contact.

Support the running of the debating clubs and coordinate related competitions.

Organise student application reviews and mock interviews.

Plan annual European visits to Strasbourg, The Hague, and Luxembourg.

Maintain relevant sections of the website and provide content for social media accounts.

Produce the regular students' email newsletter.

Provide general administrative support to the Students Manager and Head of Education & Scholarships.

Collaborate with other departments and external contacts to ensure smooth operation of events and activities.

Attend and manage events both in London and nationally, including those requiring overnight stays.

Person Specification:

At least one year's experience in an administrative support role in a busy environment.

Experience in arranging training courses or events, with some experience in video conferencing preferred.

Experience in a membership organisation or professional body is desirable.

Strong organisational and planning skills with the ability to handle repetitive tasks efficiently.

Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

High attention to detail.

Proficient in IT, including databases and content management systems.
