Client Accounts and Tax Manager

Posted by POSTIFY LIMITED.

Are you a number-loving people person?

Do you want a job where you get to learn and improve every day? Have you got a strong sense of right and wrong? Do you enjoy problem-solving?

If the answer to those questions is "Yes" then...

Our client works from their bright & airy office in the leafy Old House Manor Estate in Coolham, West Sussex.

You will work in a brilliant 7-person team. Their professional backgrounds and experiences are varied but they are united by our shared values. Thy are objective, accountable, resourceful, and supportive. They are always looking for ways to improve and, above all, they act with integrity.

Their practice is split into "pods" to keep all of the benefits of working for a small business where everyone knows their customers and their co-workers. Unlike other accountancy practices that have different departments for bookkeeping, accounts and tax, they have the same team looking after the customer's business from start to finish. Your pod also takes care of the owner's private tax affairs to make sure they have a joined-up approach. This is key to building solid personal relationships – a cornerstone of our philosophy.

**They are looking for someone to join their team as a Client Accounts and Tax Manager.

You will be a Qualified Accountant - AAT, ACA, ACCA or ATT - with solid experience working in an accounting practice, and a robust grasp of UK tax laws & accounting standards.

You will work with businesses of different sizes in a variety of industries as well as with private clients. Their end-to-end approach means that you will gain experience in a broad range of technical areas opening up your choice of future career paths. Their pod structure means that there are plenty of opportunities for growth within their organisation.

You will be encouraged to share your ideas on how to help their customers and develop their business. They believe that everyone in the team has a valuable contribution to make and want you to feel empowered to bring your personal experiences and thinking into our workspace.

They don't like dark, stuffy offices and make our workplace light, cheerful and comfortable. Everyone has a laptop, double monitors and a phone. There will always be plenty of tea and biscuits, and birthday celebrations are a good excuse for more cake.

Here's what else you'll get...

  • Annual Salary £37,777 - £49,777 dependent on qualifications and/or practical experience
  • Personal as well as technical development activities
  • 28 days holiday (including Bank Holidays) each year
  • A Workplace Pension
  • Free parking

Please send us a 1 page CV with details of your qualifications and work experience BUT also a covering email/letter telling us about you - what you like to do when you're not working, what your ambitions are, and what adjective would best describe you. The closing date for applications is 30 June 2024. We promise to respond to all applications.
