The Solutions Architect Role
This is a crucial role within the business, a Technical Pre-Sales type role, sitting between the Marketing/Sales team, the Developers in house, and the customer and their requirements.
The company develop bespoke hardware and software solutions and this role will be responsible for triaging for the sales team, deciding if an opportunity should be progressed and then working with the customer to extract key pieces of information to establish a potential solution, finally briefing Developers being the communication contact for all teams, helping to keep new projects on track.
The Ideal Candidate
You will have had Networking experience and likely the CISCO or similar qualification. You need to be passionate about exploring ideas and problems and finding solutions. Communication is key, it is such an important part of the job - you will be the point of contact between customer and the business and will need the communication skills to talk around the customer requirement with a level of technical understanding, be able to communicate with non technical people as well as the Developers. Project management type skills are also useful because you will be juggling multiple customers at any one time.
Finally, you need to be down to earth, and easy to get along with. This team really is brilliant, they are nice people, easy going but professional and work to a high standard.
