Data Scientist

Hybrid (London office)

Up to £75,000

Our new client is a forward-thinking startup revolutionising the electric vehicle (EV) charging industry. Their mission is to create the most efficient, user-friendly, and sustainable EV charging solutions on the market and believe that data is at the heart of driving innovation, optimising operations, and enhancing customer experiences. Take this opportunity to join them in their journey to make a significant impact on the future of mobility and sustainability.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, engaged Data Scientist with a background in a progressive environment, from a start-up or scale up ideally, to join this dynamic team, where you will leverage your expertise in dataanalysis, research, and statistical modelling to solve complex problems, working closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, product development, and 3rd parties, to derive actionable insights from the data to help shape the future of EV charging.

You will be involved in analysing large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for optimisation in the EV charging network; developing predictive models to enhance charging efficiency, predict maintenance needs, and improve customer experience; implementing data-driven solutions and features; designing and conducting experiments to test hypotheses and validate models; creating and maintaining dashboards and visualisations to communicate findings to stakeholders; and continuously monitoring and improving the performance of deployed models and algorithms.

Requirements for the Data Scientist position:

  • Proven experience as a Data Scientist, preferably in a startup or technology-driven environment.
  • Programming skills in Python, R or similar languages.
  • Proficiency with data analysis and visualisation tools such as SQL, Pandas, Matplotlib, and Tableau.
  • Solid understanding of statistical analysis and experimental design.

A competitive salary of up to £75,000 depending on experience, with equity options and a hybrid working set up split between home-working and the London office is offered, along with the attraction of working in a collaborative, innovative environment offering professional growth and career development.

  • Please only apply for consideration if you have full, independent right to work in the UK and you are already living in the UK permanently due to no visa sponsorship or support with relocation to the UK being available.*
