Our client, is a privately owned bakery business, having a state of the art facility in South Wales. Producing a range of branded and own label savouries.
The company are vastly growing, and have the capacity to grow further by developing new and existing customer relationships.
About the Role - Day to Day Duties and Responsibilities
Hours of Work - Monday to Friday 06:00 - 14:00 / 14:00 -22:00 - Rotating Weekly
1. Preventative maintenance on machines and equipment.
2. Responding to emergency machine breakdowns throughout the site.
3. Involvement with the new design, installation and movements of existing machines.
4. Overhaul and repair of machinery, ensuring that all equipment on site is safe to use, working efficiently and fit for purpose.
5. Alternating, a week of days and afternoons, candidates must be as flexible as possible.
6. Call outs maybe required in-line with the remit
7. Attend to breakdowns on-site, ensuring that there is always a rapid response and that plant equipment and machinery breakdown time is minimised.
8. Ensuring the provision of a safe and healthy working environment.
9. Ensuring compliance with all company policies and procedures.
10. Complete suitable risk assessments, prior to undertaking maintenance and repair work, and documenting in full, to ensure safe working practices.
11. Work with and install single phase / three phase electrical circuits.
12. To action and complete time / task sheets on a daily basis, in accordance with agreed procedures.
Essential Skills
1. A recognised Electrical / Mechanical Apprenticeship.
2. Must be a qualified multi skilled Engineer, with an electrical bias.
3. At least 3 year's experience working in a food production environment.
4. Basic Food Hygiene Certificate.
5. BRC Experience.
6. Good Standard of written and oral English.
