A leading Wolverhampton based manufacturing company who pride themselves on delivering high-quality products and services to their clients are currently seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Expeditor.

The Expeditor will play a critical role in ensuring the timely delivery of materials, components, and services. This position requires close collaboration with procurement, engineering, and project management teams to monitor and expedite orders, manage supplier relationships, and mitigate delays. The successful candidate will be highly organised, possess excellent communication skills, and be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Track the status of purchase orders, ensuring materials and components are delivered on time and meet quality standards.

Maintain regular communication with suppliers to confirm order status, expedite late deliveries, and resolve any issues related to order fulfilment.

Work closely with project managers and procurement teams to ensure that delivery schedules align with project timelines and adjust as necessary to meet deadlines.

Identify and address potential delays or issues in the supply chain, coordinating with relevant teams to find solutions and mitigate impacts on project timelines.

Maintain accurate records of order status, supplier performance, and any changes to delivery schedules.

Provide regular updates to management and project teams.

Participate in the development and implementation of process improvements to enhance supply chain efficiency and reduce lead times.

Experience:

Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in an expediting or supply chain role within an engineering or manufacturing environment.

Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite. Familiarity with engineering drawings and specifications is a plus

Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with suppliers and internal teams.

Exceptional organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated and capable of working independently.

This is an office based role working Monday to Friday 8.30 - 5.30pm
