KS1 Teaching Assistant

Join our dedicated team in Rugby, a nurturing and dynamic primary school in Rugby, committed to providing high-quality education and support to our students. We are seeking a passionate and experienced KS1 Teaching Assistant to support our children and contribute to their academic and personal development.

Role Overview:

We are looking for a Level 2 or Level 3 qualified Teaching Assistant with experience in the UK education system. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive support in the classroom, assist with individual learning needs, and may be required to offer one-to-one support for students with Special Educational Needs (SEN).

Key Responsibilities:

Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons.

Assist with the preparation of teaching materials and classroom resources.

Work one-to-one or in small groups with students who require additional support.

Monitor and record students' progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.

Encourage positive behaviour and promote a nurturing learning environment.

Help with the planning and implementation of individual education plans (IEPs) for SEN students.

Support children during break and lunchtimes as needed.

Ensure the safety and welfare of all students.

Requirements:

Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification.

Proven experience working within the UK education system.

Comfortable and experienced in supporting children with SEN.

Enhanced DBS on the update service or willing to obtain one through Aspire People.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

A proactive and flexible approach to work.
