The Opportunity

This is an opportunity for an experienced Ecommerce professional to make a difference within a successful business who are a true market leader in their field. They design, source, distribute and manufacture their own products which are sold to the public and private sector in the UK, Europe, and rest of the world via B2B and B2C.

The company sales through multiple channels including managed corporate accounts and digital channels and they now need an Ecommerce Manager to manage the content of the site, training the site to grow order volumes, conversion rate and average order value, and manage and implement the digital marketing activity to drive customer acquisition and repeat purchase.

This is a permanent opportunity where you will be able to work hybrid, 3 days a week in the office near to Kegworth so it is easily commutable from most areas of the East Midlands.

Key Responsibilities

The Ecommerce Manager will own the trading performance of the website, working with the Marketing, Merchandising, Customer Service and IT teams to identify opportunities to increase transactions and revenue through improvements to conversion rate and average order value, across both desktop and mobile devices.

You will be responsible for the implementation of marketing campaigns and commercial initiatives online, ensuring activity is consistent and effective across paid and owned channels.

Working with the Commercial Director, Marketing Team and Digital Agency, you will look to drive effective profitable new customer acquisition through Digital Marketing and SEO activity. You will also work with the Digital Product Owner to support the identification, prioritisation and refinement of technical development tasks required to support the commercial plans for the a growing category.

About You

You will be an experienced Ecommerce Manager with a commercial flair and be able to demonstrate an understanding of customer behaviour and needs, and how they relate to the customer experience and overall proposition.

You will have experience in Ecommerce trading, demonstrating an understanding of the "levers" that can be pulled to achieve specific outcomes and Shopify and Magento experience would be a great advantage. With regards to broader Digital Marketing Experience, you will have an understanding of PPC, SEO, Display and Shopping and Affiliate marketing channels and how to manage and mix them for profitable growth.

Finally, analytical skills will also be important because you will be using and manipulating data to identify and communicate trends, provide insights, and translating them into plans and actions to achieve business objectives.
