We are excited to announce an opportunity at a remarkable community school in the Brent area, catering to children aged 3 to 11. This inclusive school offers specialized support for Deaf children, helping them integrate seamlessly into mainstream classes. The dedicated team, including Teachers of the Deaf and skilled communicators, provides tailored support to ensure every child thrives in a supportive and enriching environment.

Position Details:

  • Role: SEND Teaching Assistant
  • Hours: Monday 8:30-3:30 Tuesday 8:30-4:30 Wednesday-Friday 8:30-3:30
  • Start Date: ASAP

About the Role: As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Immediate Start: Be ready to start in the role right away, providing essential support to students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
  • Dedicated Assistance: Offer personalized 1:1 or small group support, ensuring students with SEND receive the attention and guidance they need to thrive both in the classroom and around the school.
  • Collaborative Support: Work closely with teachers to help create a positive and engaging learning environment for all students.
  • Classroom Assistance: Help prepare and organize classrooms for lessons and ensure a smooth learning experience for both teachers and students.

What We're Looking For:

  • Availability: Able to start immediately as a SEND Teaching Assistant.
  • DBS Check: Hold a Child-Only DBS or be willing to apply for one.
  • Experience: Have prior experience working with SEND children, demonstrating an understanding of their needs.
  • Location: Live in or have reliable transportation to commute to the Brent area.
