Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

Location: Barnet, London

Employment Type: Full-time, Contract (Mon - Fri 8.30am - 3.30pm)

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with special educational needs (SEN)? Join our dedicated school community in Barnet as an SEN Teaching Assistant. We are seeking a compassionate and experienced individual to support our students and help them achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with special educational needs, ensuring they receive tailored and effective assistance.
- Assist the class teacher in delivering inclusive and engaging lessons, adapting materials and strategies to meet the diverse needs of students.
- Support the development and implementation of educational healthcare plans and behavior management plans.
- Create a nurturing and supportive classroom environment where all students feel valued and encouraged to succeed.
- Monitor and report on student progress, providing regular feedback to teachers, SENCO, and parents.
- Help with classroom management and organization, including preparing materials and resources.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective support strategies for students with SEN.

Requirements:
- Enhanced DBS check (essential).
- Previous experience working with children with special educational needs is essential.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development.
- Flexibility and adaptability to work in a dynamic and varied school environment.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and reflective practice.
