MBC, a leading construction company specializing in high-value projects, is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in managing costs, contracts, and project finances across a range of schemes.

Responsibilities:

Client Collaboration:

Collaborate closely with clients to understand their requirements and project goals.

Establish strong working relationships to ensure successful project delivery.

Feasibility Studies:

Conduct thorough feasibility studies to assess project viability.

Evaluate proposals to ensure they align with project objectives.

Cost Estimation:

Estimate material quantities, labor, and time required for each project phase.

Provide accurate cost projections to inform decision-making.

Document Preparation:

Prepare comprehensive tender and contract documents.

Ensure clarity and accuracy in all contractual paperwork.

Risk and Value Management:

Implement effective risk management strategies.

Optimize project value while maintaining cost control.

Contract Negotiation:

Negotiate contracts with suppliers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.

Secure favorable terms for the project.

Project Oversight:

Monitor progress, analyze outcomes, and track project performance.

Write detailed budget reports to keep stakeholders informed.

Client Satisfaction:

Ensure clients receive value for money throughout the project lifecycle.

Address any concerns promptly and professionally.

Contractual Expertise:

Provide expert advice on contractual claims and disputes.

Resolve issues efficiently to minimize project delays.

Reporting and Planning:

Maintain accurate records using services trackers.

Contribute to project planning and strategic decision-making.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or related field.

Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, preferably in principal contracting.

Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.

Proficiency in relevant software tools (e.g., Excel, cost estimating software).

Membership in a relevant professional body (e.g., RICS) is desirable.
