The Role:

We are seeking a Finance Manager to become a key member of the EMEA Accounting team, located in our London office.

The role has responsibility for aspects of the controllership and accounting function in support of the EMEA operations. This position will be focused on reporting results to the business and implementing process improvements to support global goals. In addition to the accounting and reporting responsibilities, the individual will own and drive cross-border projects and develop best practice in processes and controllership on an international level. We will also create and drive the implementation of policies with the financial leadership team within HAECO Group.

Key job responsibilities

  • Leading and driving various meetings with senior management on key financial statement areas.
  • Ownership of the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting for the EMEA operations while implementing and maintaining adequate mechanisms, decision making and escalations with finance partners and management.
  • Driving standardization and continuous improvement of processes and controls to obtain the highest integrity of financial reporting (US, local GAAP, and management reporting)—including partnering with appropriate stakeholders, for a successful end-to-end approach to reporting.
  • Manage the day-to-day activities of the company's finance operations including Accounts Receivables, Accounts Payables, Payroll and other Reconciliation activities; this includes ensuring all financial transactions, systems, and procedures comply with regulations, accounting principles, and standards
  • Troubleshoot daily operational issues and work closely with other stakeholders
  • Manage and implement Company's initiatives and projects from finance and accounting perspective. This includes providing requirements, designing, and performing UAT, designing new workflow and monitoring post go-live processes
  • Delivering functional projects on a cross-country level, such as implementing best accounting/ controllership practice to enhance and deepen the control environment.
  • Oversee lease accounting process ensuring compliance with US GAAP / IFRS
  • Take ownership of treasury and banking activities including cash reconciliations, funding requests and preparation of quarterly cash flow forecast
  • Play a lead role in working with internal and external audit team to ensure audit requests are dealt with swiftly

Requirements

  • A degree in Accounting/Finance with extensive relevant experience with CPA / ACCA / ACA / CIMA or equivalent certification and knowledge of various GAAP accounting rules including UK GAAP and IFRS.
  • Solid understanding of an internal control framework and the concepts of control design and operational efficiency.
  • Minimum 6 years' relevant working experience of managerial role in accounting firm or in commercial sector, preferably in a publicly listed company.
  • Good technical knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS with exposure to group consolidation and statutory reporting.
  • Solid experience in financial reporting, management reporting and budgeting
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Self-motivated, positive attitude, independent and able to work under pressure.
  • Good communication skills and excellent teamwork
  • Familiar with SAP or Tagetik would be an advantage
  • Less working experience will also be considered as Assistant Finance Manager
