Reed Education are working with a Secondary School in Doncaster who are requiring a school caretaker to join their team immediately.
Shift work will be required as well as occasional evening work. The shifts will be 6 am to 2pm, Monday to Thursday and 6am to 1.30pm on a Friday, and the alternative week will be 11.30am to 7pm Monday, 11am to 7pm Tuesday to Friday.
Good communication, interpersonal and DIY skills are essential. We require someone who will love and care for the school as much as the staff and students do. You will be responsible for the security of the premises, general maintenance work and repairs, health and safety issues relating to the buildings, cleaning and porterage duties. You need to be able to undertake basic maintenance of heating, lighting, plumbing and security systems to ensure they operate safely and efficiently.
It is essential that you are capable of regular stooping, bending, lifting and carrying of equipment, materials and furniture, and able to climb ladders.
There will need to be a degree of flexibility around certain key events in the school calendar, e.g. parents evenings, governing body meetings, school fairs etc.
