Wakefield Council is seeking a dedicated individual to join their Homeless Team as a Homeless Officer. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the community.
Our team is committed to preventing homelessness, conducting assessments, and making critical decisions to support those who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. As a Homeless Officer, you will be responsible for managing casework to identify and address housing-related issues. Your reports will facilitate the Council's decision-making process regarding the duty owed to each household.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to communicate effectively at all levels, and demonstrate personal resilience when faced with challenging situations. You should be highly organised, capable of working within strict deadlines, proficient in IT skills, and able to work both collaboratively and independently.
