This role is ideal for a caretaker with hands-on experience in UK primary, secondary schools, or colleges, who can hit the ground running and support the school's maintenance team.
Key Responsibilities for the Caretaker Assistant:
- Assisting with general upkeep and maintenance of the school premises.
- Ensuring all areas are clean, safe, and secure for students and staff.
- Supporting the Caretaker with day-to-day tasks, including minor repairs, setting up rooms, and site safety checks.
- Responding to urgent maintenance needs and ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently.
Requirements for the Caretaker Assistant:
- Must have previous experience working as a caretaker or assistant in UK primary, secondary schools, or colleges.
- A valid DBS check is essential to be considered for the role.
- Proactive, reliable, and able to work independently while assisting the Caretaker.
- Ability to use initiative and solve issues promptly to maintain smooth school operations.
