Purchase Ledger Assistant

We are currently working with a large business based in Bury who are looking for an experienced and effective purchase ledger assistant, to join their business and work in this autonomous role. The role will involve you dealing with both internal and external parties to process invoices and payments effectively, therefore a high level of relationship building, and ledger control/efficiencies is something which we are looking for.

Responsibilities as purchase ledger assistant will include: -

  • Process the purchase invoices and matching effectively on the system
  • Assist with all invoice queries and maintain a tidy ledger
  • Accurate reconciliation of the supplier statement reconciliations
  • Ensure prompt payment of invoices
  • Liaise with all internal and external purchasing decision makers
  • Provide support with other areas of transactional finance

The role will require a strong team player who can demonstrate a strong work ethic and develop an effective control and communication in the processing of payments and management of ledger as purchase ledger assistant. This is a well-established business that has a strong local presence and therefore we need candidates who embrace their 'quirks' but benefit from a family feel culture and team spirit.
