**Junior Java & Python Developer** (Contract)
Duration: 6 Months (Possibility for extension)
Location: Bromley/Hybrid (3 days per week on site)
Rate: A highly competitive Umbrella Day Rate or Salary is available for suitable candidates
Role Profile
Our client, a leading investment banking firm, is seeking a Junior Java & Python Developer to join their Remote Risk Aggregator application development team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a fast-paced and collaborative environment, where your skills and expertise will be highly valued.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the team to design, develop, and test Java and Python applications for the Remote Risk Aggregator platform.
- Assist in the maintenance and support of existing applications, ensuring they meet industry standards and best practises.
- Participate in code and design reviews, contributing to the continuous improvement of the development process.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies, proactively suggesting improvements and enhancements to the development team.
Requirements:
- Solid experience in Java and Python development, with a strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles.
- Familiarity with the financial services industry and an interest in investment banking.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team setting.
- Self-motivated and eager to learn new technologies.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
