Our client is seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Production to join their team in Worcester. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of manufacturing processes, exceptional leadership skills, and a strategic mindset. The Director of Production will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of their production operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities of the Business Development Manager:

  • Lead and manage the production team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Develop and implement production plans to meet business objectives, including output, quality, and cost targets.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve product quality.
  • Ensure the effective utilisation of resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials.
  • Oversee the implementation and optimisation of ERP systems to integrate and streamline production processes. Ensure accurate and timely data entry to leverage ERP insights for decision-making and operational improvements.
  • Maintain and improve quality control to ensure products meet or exceed customer expectations.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and promote a safe working environment.
  • Manage production budgets and prepare regular reports on production performance.
  • Work closely with other departments, including procurement, engineering, and sales, to ensure seamless operations and customer satisfaction.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in a production management role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading and motivating a diverse team, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality control systems, and lean manufacturing principles.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems, with a demonstrated ability to integrate and optimise these systems for enhanced production outcomes.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute strategic plans to achieve business objectives.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices in a manufacturing setting.
