There is an opportunity for a Product Specialist, Tissue Diagnostics Instruments, to join their technical service team on a 14-month contract.

Your new role
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced biomedical scientist or application support scientist to join as a Product Specialist - Applications. This exciting position is part of a field support team, responsible for technical service cover primarily focused on Tissue Diagnostics Instruments. This team plays a key part in the implementation of installation projects, troubleshooting investigations and customer training, building strong customer relationships to help deliver a high standard of service.As a Product Specialist - Applications, you will undertake a variety of user support functions including:
- Installation and support on systems
- Customer training
- Troubleshooting, sales and customer support
- Software modifications and product maintenance
- Assistance with tender responses and product demonstrations
The role covers sites within the South UK from Kent across to Dorset/Wiltshire, tability to provide effective support for pathology laboratory solutions and excel in the art of troubleshooting.here will be a requirement for off-territory support with travel within the south region, primarily, with some UK cover. The successful candidate should be prepared to stay away from home in hotels when required.
What you'll need to succeed
You will hold a bachelor's degree, ideally in biomedical Science.
You will possess a background in Tissue/Cellular Pathology/Histology/Histopathology.
You need to possess a thorough understanding of the IVD industry and have the ability to provide effective support for pathology laboratory solutions and excel in the art of troubleshooting.
The successful candidate should be motivated by exceeding customer expectations, with the capability of working with minimum supervision and managing your time effectively. You should take ownership and pride in your work and the ability to plan your work schedule and travel arrangements autonomously.
You will be required to maintain individual skills and technical knowledge and develop a relationship with customers to enhance the reputation and professionalism of the company.
You will have excellent IT skills and, ideally, ideal knowledge of some of the following platforms: Benchmark Ultra/Ultra Plus/XT, Bond, DAKO
You must hold a full UK/EU (or equivalent) driving licence
